A project made with love to celebrate love!

One of my brothers asked his girlfriend to marry him this past Christmas and I've been wanting to put something together for an engagement gift. This was actually perfect timing with the Circle Blog Challenge for this month. Our challenge was to make a scrap page or project to celebrate 2011 and you had to use atleast 2 cricut cuts. I chose to scrap their engagement for them because I know she is going to be waaaay to busy with the wedding planning to be able to do it herself. I hope you all like it as much as I do! I believe I used the font from Winter Woodland and welded the letters together on my Gypsy then cut them out on my E2 to create the top and bottom layers for the date. Thank you for looking!

Wedding photos

As promised here are some pics from the wedding! We were wed on October 1, 2011 at Hemingway's Home in Key West, FL. It was a sunny 75-80 degree day - HOT!!!

Postings and an apology....

I think about every 6 months or so I go through spurts of saying I'll post and doing it but then I fall off with it. Please accept my apologies and I'm grateful for those who stuck it out with me, thank you!

I was really consumed with my wedding last year and didn't do too much of anything else. The wedding came out just beautiful and when I get to my actual computer I'll share pics. I'm so proud I made the invites in their entirety including hand cutting all the envelopes. The only help I did have was the printer printing the invites after I designed them in photoshop elements. I embossed and chalked our favors, made up individual sheets for each person to sign their well wishes and those pages made our guest book. I know I'm forgetting many things too but I wanted to get this up here now. :0)

Anyhow busy busy year I had in 2011! I already have a couple of crafts to photograph then I'll pop them up here. My teaser is they are for valentines day! :0)

Cricut Monthly challenge

Hi everyone! Wow it's been quire a while. I have a new project that I made for the Cricut Circle Monthly challenge. Our goal was to use atleast 2 cricut cuts to make something to use on a road trip. I chose to make a puzzle. Let me tell you this was probably the most challenging thing I've made yet! The Gypsy was instrumental in this and even so I had a hard time lining things up. I'm not 100% happy with it but tonight is our deadline so I have to stop tweeking it. I used the puzzle pieces from My Community cricut cart and the turtle cut from the Imagine Nusery Tails cart.

So without further ado - here you go!!

I tried to give it some depth by cutting a thicker material to help keep the pieces together. It was nearly the thickness of a cereal box but still gave like cardstock.

Thanks for looking!

My Cricut Circle blog weekly entry

The challenge this week was to use French Manor and bling or pearls. I was at a local craft store going out of business and they had tissue box covers and I thought I'd like to bling one up for my office. Without further adieu....

Thank you so much for the well wishes on Chip. He is doing much better thank goodness! Back to his onry self! LOL Also my new Imagine machine should be here tomorrow! It's in Ft. Lauderdale as I type and I soooo wanted to run down there today but alas I had to work... :o( All is good because it will be coming to me tomorrow!

Have a wonderful rest of your Monday!

Home tonight...

Unfortunately I don't have any crafts to post today but I wanted to hop on here and do a post anyhow. My oldest pup Chip ended up getting bit by something lastnight and had an allergic reaction so I had to take him to the emergency vet  around 9pm. They gave him two shots and sent us home. He did really well till around 5 or 5:30 tonight when those pesky hives started up again. I gave him some more benadryl and they seemed to have gone down so it's just a wait and see thing now. Hopefully they will not return!

I'm going to try to do both of the challenges on the Cricut Circle blog that were posted yesterday so I should have a couple more things to post this week. One thing of note is that I had to ship my beloved Imagine back to Provo Craft(PC) on Thursday because the update killed it. :o(  Good news is that PC shipped the new one out on Friday so it should be here on Tues!!! Yippee!!! I will be back in action with that bad boy soon!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!! Thanks for stopping by!

Wow it's been a while!

First I'll have to apologize for taking so long to post again. I need to make more of an effort to get on here more! I have done a couple of projects. One that I need to post first is the Halloween card type of thing I made for my Circle Pal.

I used the 12x12 Tim Coffey Halloween stack from K&Company and various stickers from Jolees. Surprisingly I didn't use any cricut cuts!

This is the front of the album

The first quadrant with space for extra photos and a journaling card

Here there is the same, a place for a photo and then extra as well

In this picture you can start to see the rest of it unfolding behind this quadrant (also I think this one was my favorite one hehehe!)

The final page.

This is the view from the top. See how it opens up to make quadrants...

Here is a picture of me with my new Cricut Imagine!! Can you tell I'm in love?

Even the boys were excited!!

A few of the cards I've made so far.

Thanks for looking. I'm going to attempt the update on my Imagine tonight and hope all goes well then I will be back in action! Have a great night! BTW I'm down another 3lbs! Yipee!!!
